After Maine Mendoza posted an emotional three-page letter addressed to her fans, she has been ‘missing’ in action on Eat Bulaga. Netizens conclude that Maine is under ‘suspension’ from the longest running noontime show.
Vic Sotto, Maine’s co-host in Eat Bulaga denies her suspension from the said show. When Vic was asked about Maine’s controversy during the presscon for 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival entry ‘Meant To Beh’ this Tuesday, December 5, the veteran comedian answered: “Ang alam ko, nakabakasyon siya. “I’m not really in the know, I’m not privy to anything na personal niyang desisyon. “Kasi, para sa akin, kung ano man yun… respetuhin na lang natin kung ano man yung mga issues niya, kung ano man yung mga pinagdadaanan niya. “Siya lang nakakaalam dun. I’m not privy to anything personal pagdating sa kanya.”
Vic Sotto was also asked if he noticed something ‘different’ from Maine before she left.
Vic answered right away. “Ako, personally, wala akong nararamdaman.”
It is not clear whether the Kapuso actress will still come back to the show.
When Vic was asked if the rumors are true that Maine is suspended from the show, he said: “Definitely not. “Ba’t naman isususpende siya ng TAPE, ‘no, ng Eat Bulaga? “Lalo na kay Mr. Tuviera, respetado niya ‘yang opinyon, pag-iisip, at kung anuman ang pinagdadaanan ng bawat kasama namin sa Dabarkads.”
“So, antayin na lang natin ang mga kasunod na kabanata” the comedian ended.
